Why do people keep telling me to "Set my intentions"?!!?

Staying in our Universal Flow is not always the easiest thing to do. We are creatures of habit and can easily become enslaved to living life on autopilot; stuck in old routines created from past experiences that end up living a familiar future.

So, how do we change? How do we get out of autopilot and stay in Universal Flow? 

What if it was as simple as setting INTENTIONS?

Intentions...I honestly have to tell you, I’d get so annoyed when I’d hear the statement “Set you intentions”. However, I now see that staying in Universal Flow is about preparing for the life you want and setting intentions is part of that. 

For instance if I end my day setting an intention for the next day I’ll most likely wake up in the morning and pick up where I left off and my day will unfold with the intention from the night before. The Universe works in perfection so it will work around your responsibilities to match your intentions and give you the best possible outcome for your day. 

Here are some tips for setting your intentions:

  • Set an intention before bed then resume that intention in the morning.
  • Meditate on the feeling of that intention. How does it FEEL to have what you desire? 
  • Set micro-intentions. "I intend to get a restful sleep." "I intend to have a great meditation!"

 

Intentions are a signal that we are present and empowered to be the director of our own beautiful lives.

If we set the stage the actors will show up and play in our reality!
